AK Design Principal Annaliesse Kelly wanted a home that was contemporary, eclectic, and filled with art and artistic touches at every glance. Annaliesse loves to blend contemporary with vintage, and her home is full of thoughtful details that seamlessly blend these styles together.
The walls are gallery white, the perfect backdrop for showcasing her favourite pieces from Steve Baylis and Zoë Pawlak, to name a few. There is plenty of colour to be found here, too, from the baby blue walls and drapery in the guest bedroom to feature walls that make a statement. In the bedroom, three stunning pieces by Ola Volo frame the dark feature wall, creating a regal backdrop.
In keeping with her artistic vision, the home is full of striking finishes that feel like a work of art themselves; in the living room, the sleek black and white stone fireplace is an instant talking point, complementing the vibrant pops of colour in the accessories, while the gorgeous patterned grey stone backsplash in the kitchen pairs perfectly with the Corian countertops.
